From May 2016 to August 2017, I interned with the NC State College of Engineering Communications Department as a joint Writing and Graphic Design Intern. My responsibilities included designing brochures, flyers, pamphlets, LCD displays and other forms of print and digital advertising for the College of Engineering and their partners. My writing responsibilities included articles for their website, promotion announcements and articles for print. All my designs were subject to the approval of the Lead Graphic Designer. Some of my irregular writing roles included traveling to Morganton, NC to cover a U.S government drone test, an initiative led in part by a group of NC State Engineering students.

I developed this graphic for use as an LCD Display advertisement, which was shown on a variety of CC TVs around the College of Engineering. The layout is my original design, and I chose this photograph from a bank of NC State student images. It was my decision to edit the photograph so that it would be monochromatic with a splash of red.

This is the second version of the same advertisement. They were designed in a similar style to work in tangent with each other. The photo was again pulled from a bank of NC State "stock" photos.

College of Engineering Fall '16 Magazine centerfold
As the College of Engineering moved to Centennial Campus, their new home, they left behind buildings that had historical significance to the college. This magazine centerfold sought to revisit that history. I did not develop this concept, but I was solely in charge of execution. Seeing this as an opportunity to make use of NC State's rarely implemented secondary color palette, I began with a standard digital map, replacing the original colors with their brand colors. All typographic elements were replaced with NC State's standard type.
