This is the my most recent personal logo. Developing a personal brand has never felt like an easy task, and this will certainly not be my last attempt. With that said, between the animated gif that serves as my header and the graphic itself, I am happier with this branding than any of my previous.

These are some of the other styles and routes I explored in this round of personal development. In the second one, I liked the bit of whimsy the style brought, but I did not like the execution. Nor was I sold on the prospect of using my full name as a mark. The third one felt like it was trying too hard to be elegant, and the actual shapes and form have no basis in any sort of personal meaning. I do enjoy that color palette, though.

This is a snapshot of my thought process as I developed my current logo. I started with the letterforms, and then worked to disguise them in a simple, whimsical way. My favorite part of developing this particular logo was creating the animated gif; I thought having a "living" logo that almost ambiently moves without dealing too much damage to the integrity of the design.
